← The Green Scheme and DCHA established community garden to two underserved neighborhoods. By engaging with local residents, Green Scheme developed strategies for healthy eating, despite living in a highly food insecure area. Community members now have full access to fresh fruits and vegetables that they grow themselves. Green Scheme and Dreaming Out Loud collaborated to bring a farmer’s markets to underserved areas. We address food insecurity in these areas by fostering a fun and engaging environment surrounding healthy eating. We put the community at the center, by bringing in local farmers and other volunteers. →
